Ask your MP to support early intervention for eating disorders

Your Member of Parliament is your voice in Westminster, where decisions about healthcare in England are made. It’s important they know what matters to you and how they can help.

Research by Beat shows that, on average, three-and-a-half years pass between the symptoms of an eating disorder emerging and treatment starting. The sooner someone gets the treatment they need, the more likely they are to make a full and sustained recovery. To ensure sufferers are able to access help from the onset of their illness, we need the support of your Member of Parliament. You can fill in the form opposite to send a message to them now.

We’ve given you a head-start by drafting a letter, but personalised messages have even more of an impact, so please adapt this to add your own words and experiences.

Please note, this action is for residents of England only. If you live in Wales or Scotland, we have separate forms for you to contact your AM or MSP.
