Ask your Assembly Member to support early intervention for eating disorders

Research by Beat shows that in Wales, on average, three years pass between the symptoms of an eating disorder emerging and treatment starting. The sooner someone gets the treatment they need, the more likely they are to make a full and sustained recovery.

To ensure eating disorder sufferers are able to access help from the onset of their illness, we need the support of your Assembly Member. So this Eating Disorders Awareness Week, we are asking you to message your Assembly Member to tell them about the importance of early intervention in eating disorders and how they can help. You can fill in this form to send a message to them now.

We’ve given you a head-start by drafting a letter, but personalised messages have even more of an impact, so please adapt this to add your own words and experiences.
